Is Your Alcohol Consumption Already a Form of Addiction?
For the most part, the term “addiction” is associated with one thing. Admit it, the moment you hear the word, the first thing that comes to your mind is substance abuse or the use of illegal drugs; but the thing is there is another face of addiction that no one seems to be utterly concerned about. This “other” face of addiction comes in the form of alcohol abuse.
However, it seems quite unfair to label alcohol in the same league to that of illegal drugs because there’s actually a major difference between the two. Well, the main difference between the two is that when you use a banned substance, you’re doing something that could land you in jail, but if you drink alcohol, no one’s going to arrest you for that alone. Well, even if the two are different, it also cannot be denied that they are related or connected in some way; this connection is in the form of addiction or dependency.

2 – You’re already lying or hiding your drinking.
This right here is simply called denial. Why would you lie about or hide the fact that you’re drinking if it’s only occasional or casual? The answer is quite clear – you no longer are drinking in moderation.
3 – You don’t have the ability to stop once you begin drinking.
The first thing that happens is you constantly remind yourself that you’re going to have one. Sadly though, you eventually realize the next morning that you emptied more than a couple of bottles.
